Frequently Asked Questions

According to my child’s birth date, they fit into one age group, but I want them to participate in a higher one. Is that allowed?
Yes, you can choose a higher age group, but you are not allowed to choose a lower one. Example: If your child fits into Group B, you may choose to compete in Groups C, D, etc., but not in Group A. For more information on age groups, see section 21.
I’m not sure which age group my child fits into. How can I determine this?
If your child turns 10 years old on or before September 1, 2025, they belong to Group C (10–13 years). If they turn 10 after September 1 (e.g., on September 2 or any later date), they remain in Group B (8–9 years) as of September 1.
The recording we are submitting exceeds the time limit set for the category. Will that be a problem?
We allow a tolerance of 10 seconds over the specified time. If the duration is longer than that, the participant will not be admitted to the competition.
Is the participation fee refundable if there is a mistake or inaccuracy in our submission?
If there are any issues with your submission, we will contact you and try to help, as long as this happens before September 1, 2025. After this date (from September 2, 2025 onwards), incomplete documents, incorrect categories, or exceeded time limits will result in disqualification, and the fee will not be refunded.
If we withdraw before September 1, can we get a refund?
Once the payment has been processed in our accounting system, it is non-refundable. If you have any issues, please feel free to contact us.
We want to attend the concert in Sofia but have visa issues since we are not from the EU. Can you assist us?
We will fully support you by providing an official invitation letter. While we cannot guarantee visa approval, we are happy to help.
What does the €100 participation fee cover?
The participation fee is allocated as follows: • Jury fees — Our jury consists of top-level musicians who will carefully review each piece and its score. • Musicians’ fees — To hire musicians, ensembles, and orchestras to perform the winning works. • Studio rental — For professional audio recordings of the selected works. • Advertising materials — Including internet promotion and marketing. • Certificates and diplomas — For all participants and winners. • Website maintenance — For the ongoing operation of the competition’s web platform. • Organizing team — A team of 10 people dedicated to ensuring the smooth running of the competition.
Are bank transfer fees covered by the organizers?
No. We must receive the full amount of €100, and any additional transfer fees are your responsibility. If we receive an incomplete amount, we will notify you, provided it is within the deadline. After September 1, any incomplete payments or missing documents will be considered invalid, and the amount will not be refunded.
Can we use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create our work for the competition?
We cannot limit technological innovation or the originality of our participants. As organizers and jury members, we will not investigate whether a piece was created by AI or if it has been published before. However, if we discover any fraudulent activity, we reserve the right to disqualify the participant. While we do not take responsibility for detecting intellectual property theft, we will cooperate with authorities by providing personal data if required.
You require an audio recording, but you expect the piece to be unpublished. How should we approach this?
Yes, the piece can be recorded at home or in a studio. The key requirement is that it must not have been officially published online or submitted to other competitions. We also accept files in MIDI format.
